Project #5: To add a little more blue into the decorations, I found these blue tissue paper that I wanted to turn into Pom Pom balls. Since I couldn't find Navy Blue paper (and boy did I search!!) I settled for this royal blue, not the teal.
Here's what you need:
Tissue paper
Pipe cleaners
Scissors
Fishing line
Here's how to make them:
Using the whole package of tissue paper (about 6 pages), starting at the vertical bottom of the paper fold the paper up, then flip over and fold up again, continue until it looks like a fan or an accordion.
Next, take one pipe cleaner and wrap around the middle of the folded tissue paper, leaving enough pipe cleaner at the end to make a loop to hang it up.
Once the pipe cleaner is secured around the tissue paper, use the scissors and either cut a rounded or pointed edge at both ends of the tissue paper.
Will look like a bow tie.
To fluff the paper into a ball, carefully pull apart the papers to form ruffles.
Fluff it up to your liking, then using the fishing line, string it through the loop made with the pipe cleaner. Hang it up and there ya go!
