So I was recently asked to take some pictures of my friend and her family. I gotta say I was a bit nervous about doing my first official photo shoot, but I did manage to get to get some good shots. Photography is lots of fun, but definitely challenging. I'm always up for a good challenge. Looking forward to my next one.

Naturally Beautiful
Yesterday, I busted out my camera to practice some indoor natural light photos. My favorite little model helped me out with this. I had her stand on one of her chairs (I as right next to her, just in case) so she could see out the window and I could get some light on her. I've been reading a lot, and mean A LOT of blogs and Pinterest posts on how to accomplish such beautiful natural lit photos. So I decided to put some of my reading into practice. These turned out pretty cute. I also wanted to keep experimenting with the presets on my Adobe Lightroom editing program, they make such a difference in how the picture turns out. So here they are....

Ten Down, Zero to Go....
Well, today marks day ten, the last day of my fitness challenge! WOW! So I did it! I completed the challenge. Tomorrow I will take my measurements and weight in to see my results. A simple quick breakfast before dropping Liam off at school.
Snack time, grapes, cheese, and water.
A nice fresh salad with boiled eggs, cucumbers, and Heirloom tomatoes for lunch!
Apples and Almond Butter such a tasty snack.
And for dinner, I made some Dijon Mustard & Chive Baked Chicken
with some Steamed Balsamic Greens Beans.
Workout number ten complete!
Looking forward to see my results tomorrow!
Nine Down, One to Go...
Today I started off kind of sluggish since the kiddos woke up through the night, so that means I didn't get my seven hours of sleep that's part of the challenge. But hey, it happens. The kiddos come first. Besides that, I did ate good meals, drank my water, and got my workout completed after I got home from book club, even though I kinda didn't want to cause I was so tired. Funny story, were are suppose to post pictures and updates on our day on our group Facebook page and while I was typing I totally fell asleep with my phone in hand mid type. Guess I was really tired. That's why I'm posting Day Nine today.....
Breakfast was tasty... Greek Yogurt with Raspberry & Granola and Water
Snack on the go, Banana, some Raw Almonds, and Water
I wasn't all too hungry for lunch, so just half a Smoked Turkey Sandwich
with Heirloom Tomatoes and Spinach on 12 Whole Grain Bread and Water.
For snack I was kinda wanting something sweet,
so grabbed one of these Quaker Real Medleys bars.
That night I went to my book club meeting and stuck to my good healthy food choices.
Kale & Sausage Soup, Salad, and Water.
By time I got home it was after 9:30pm-ish, so I really didn't want to workout.
But thought I am almost done, I need to stick with it.
So....I worked out and felt much better.
One more day!

Garlic Roasted Cauliflower
A while ago my friend made these cauliflower florets for us. They were so tasty, I just HAD to have the recipe. So I called up my friend for the recipe and have been making it none stop. Bonus is that even Kinley likes them too! It's a clean and healthy recipe, perfect for my 10 Day Fitness Challenge!
What you need:
1 head of cauliflower
Garlic infused olive oil
salt and pepper
How to make it:
Preheat the oven to 400˚F.
Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Cut up the cauliflower into slices or bite size pieces then place in a bowl.
Drizzle some garlic olive oil all over the cauliflower.
Then season with salt and pepper, toss to evenly coat.
Spread cauliflower on the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until starts to brown and crisp up. (I like mine a little crispier, makes them sweeter)
Flip florets to toast on the other sides about half way through.
Take out of oven and let cool a bit, then ENJOY!
Seven Down, Three To Go...
For breakfast I tried my hand at making some Sweet Potato Hash
with Ground Turkey and Spinach, some Raspberries
and 12 Whole Grain Toast on the side with my water.
For snack I blended up a Chocolate Banana Pumpkin Smoothie.
Kinley even drank some too!
For lunch, I couldn't resist not making another
My afternoon snack was pretty simple.
An Almond Butter Sandwich on 12 Whole Grain bread, Baby Carrots, and Water.
This was very tasty dinner, Veggie Pasta with Ground Turkey Marinara
with Roasted Cauliflower on the side, and Water.
That evening I did my posted workout (three rounds) and the bonus core ab workout!
I'm ready to call it night...
