Stars & Stripes Wine Bottles

I don't know about you, but I love reusing materials.  For this Crafternoon, I had all the ladies bring 3 empty wine bottles with the labels peeled off, I supplied the rest.  I was totally inspired by the Fourth of July holiday, but really you can do these for any time, just change out the colors of the spray paint.
Here's what you need:

1 empty clear wine bottle (washed and labels *peeled)
2 empty any color wine bottles (washed and labels *peeled)
     * Acetone fingernail polish remover works great for getting the sticky part off the bottles*
Star stickers (the plastic ones are the best for this craft)
Red spray paint (I used Krylon Gloss True Red)
White spray paint (I used Krylon Matte White)
Blue spray paint (I used Krylon Gloss Blue)
Roll of painter's tape

How to make them:

Using the clear wine bottle, place the star stickers all around the bottle.
Place the bottle on some newspaper or old table cloth before spray painting.
Spray the starry bottle with the blue spray paint and let dry.
Spray again for a second coat, set aside to dry.
When completely dry, carefully peel off the star stickers.
Set aside, away from the spray painting area.

To do the striped bottles, take the two remaining bottles and spray with the white spray paint.
Set aside to dry.
Spray a second coat, set aside to dry.

Once the white bottles are dry, using the painter's tape, wrap a few strips evenly around the bottle.
Make sure all the creases are flattened out, so the paint won't run.
Then spray the entire bottle with red spray paint, set aside to dry.
Spray a second coat, set aside to dry.
When completely dried, slowly and carefully peel off the painter's tape.

Just add some flowers, glow sticks, or candles to complete the look.
I found some cute pinwheels for mine!

A patriotic decoration for your 4th of July!
