1/2 cup unsalted butter, soft
9 oz milk chocolate, finely chopped (I used Hersey's Milk Chocolate Chips)
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 TBsp cocoa powder (I used Hersey's unsweetened)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, Line a 9inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
Melt butter gently in microwave safe bowl, add the finely chopped chocolate and let it stand for a minute. Stir well, then leave to cool slightly.
Add the sugar, eggs, vanilla and whisk briskly until mixed well.
Add flour, cocoa, and salt, stir until smooth.
Spread evenly into prepared baking pan.
Bake for about 20 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Leave on cooling rack till cool completely.
Remove and cut into squares.
