Ten Down, Zero to Go....

Well, today marks day ten, the last day of my fitness challenge!  WOW! So I did it! I completed the challenge.  Tomorrow I will take my measurements and weight in to see my results.  Today, was a pretty good day.  I got to sleep my 7 hours, drank my water, stuck to my healthy clean eating meals, and completed my workout homework.

A simple quick breakfast before dropping Liam off at school.

Snack time, grapes, cheese, and water.

A nice fresh salad with boiled eggs, cucumbers, and Heirloom tomatoes for lunch!

Apples and Almond Butter such a tasty snack.

And for dinner, I made some Dijon Mustard & Chive Baked Chicken
with some Steamed Balsamic Greens Beans.

Workout number ten complete!

Looking forward to see my results tomorrow!

Nine Down, One to Go...

Today I started off kind of sluggish since the kiddos woke up through the night, so that means I didn't get my seven hours of sleep that's part of the challenge.  But hey, it happens.  The kiddos come first.  Besides that, I did ate good meals, drank my water, and got my workout completed after I got home from book club, even though I kinda didn't want to cause I was so tired.  Funny story, were are suppose to post pictures and updates on our day on our group Facebook page and while I was typing I totally fell asleep with my phone in hand mid type.  Guess I was really tired.  That's why I'm posting Day Nine today.....

Breakfast was tasty... Greek Yogurt with Raspberry & Granola and Water

Snack on the go, Banana, some Raw Almonds, and Water

I wasn't all too hungry for lunch, so just half a Smoked Turkey Sandwich
with Heirloom Tomatoes and Spinach on 12 Whole Grain Bread and Water.

For snack I was kinda wanting something sweet,
so grabbed one of these Quaker Real Medleys bars.

That night I went to my book club meeting and stuck to my good healthy food choices.
Kale & Sausage Soup, Salad, and Water.

By time I got home it was after 9:30pm-ish, so I really didn't want to workout.
But thought I am almost done, I need to stick with it.
So....I worked out and felt much better.

One more day!

Energy Bites

Since starting my 10 Day Fitness Challenge I have been trying really hard to cut out or at least limit how much sugar/sweet treats I have.  So I went on Pinterest and found this very simple recipe to satisfy my sweet tooth.  Who knew that these four ingredients could make such addicting and healthy snacks! I don't have to feel guilty about indulging in these!  Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Recipe from He and She Eat Clean

What you need:

1 cup dry oats
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
3 TBsp honey
2 Tbsp dark chocolate chips

How to make them:

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl using a spatula.
Place the mixing bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Roll the mixture into equal site balls.
Store in refrigerator until ready to eat, ENJOY!

Six Down, Four To Go...

Well, today marks day number six of my ten day challenge.  Today was filled with quick errands to Walmart, cleaning the house, meeting and hiring a new babysitter for the kiddos, baking, then joining my friends for our monthly Crafternoon.  A pretty busy day, but managed to eat cleanly, drink my water, and even do a workout later that night.

I had a simple breakfast, Egg Whites scrambled
with some Smoked Turkey, Grapefruit, and Water

These berries were so good for snack

Lunch time! Turkey Sandwich with 12 Whole Grain bread,
Grilled Squash, and Brown Rice & Quinoa Salad, and Water.

These Energy Bites are the perfect cure for my sweet tooth!

I made this new Kale Salad with Roasted Sweet Potatoes,
Dried Cranberries, & Quinoa, and Water for dinner.

Today, I was pretty beat, so I did an ab workout and called it a day.

Time for bed!  Goodnight all!

Five Down, Five To Go....

Well, I've made it to day five, half way through and doing great.  Today was a busy day, after I dropped Liam off at school, Kinley and I ran some errands, did a little Christmas shopping, then went to story time, and stopped by Chick-Fil-A for lunch before heading home.  Well, onto the challenge...

For breakfast I really liked my Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal, banana, and water

A light snack, some Plain Greek Yogurt with Granola and Water

For lunch, Kinley and I stopped by Chick-Fil-A.
I made the healthier choice of the Market Fresh Grilled Chicken Salad
with Zesty Apple Vinaigrette and some Water to drink.

After picking Liam up for school we had a little snack of
Apples, Cheese Stick, and some Raw Almonds.

For dinner I grilled up some steaks, squash, and asparagus to
go along with a Brown Rice & Quinoa Salad with some Water.

As for my workout...I completed the Fast Friday Workout
that was posted on our group page.
It was quick and simple, my kind of workout!

See ya tomorrow Day Six!

Four Down, Six To Go...

Day number four, I'm almost half way through.  Today was a pretty good day.  After dropping Liam off at school, Kinley and I went to Walmart and got some Christmas shopping done.  (I know it's not even mid November, but the more I get done now the better, since we plan on visiting Texas for Christmas, and I don't want to be stressing about gifts and mailing them before we leave).  Then Kinley and I went for a little nature hike by our house.  Decided to take the camera and snap a few shots or a hundred, of my little lady.  Ok, ok back to the Fitness Challenge at hand.....

For breakfast Kinley and I had some
12 Whole Grain Toast, Boiled Egg, Grapefruit, and Water

For snack I whipped up us a Banana Berry Smoothie

After playing with some legos and puzzles while listening to Christmas music
(I LOVE Christmas music, it's NEVER too early for it!) I made some lunch.
Left over Chick Breast, Steamed Veggies, and Water.

For snack we all had some Popcorn and a Cheese stick after picking up Liam from school.

Here's what I had for dinner...Baked Mahi Mahi with
a side of Garlic Roasted Cauliflower, and Water.

Just like the previous days...I got in my workout after the kiddos went to bed.
Guess it's my new routine!

Alrighty.....day number five tomorrow.
BRING IT ON!
